We designed this hall bathroom for homeowners who wished to have a more inviting and updated bathroom for their guests. The main request was for the bathroom was that it would be able to accommodate two people. Second in line on the wish list was to make the room feel larger. They requested that we take all existing items out and start from a blank slate.

The rest of their home was quite traditional in style, so although they wanted to modernize the space, it couldn’t be a drastic departure from the feel of the rest of the home.

Custom cabinets were designed with double sinks divided by a vanity. Storage above the vanity features obscure glass insets. Mirrors, light fixtures, faucets, and cabinet hardware were all selected to blend well with the decor of the rest of the home’s décor. Ceilings in this bathroom are low and the initial room felt quite dark so painting the cabinets a crisp off-white helped to make the space seem much larger.  LED can lights were added to illuminate the new, bright cabinets as well.  In addition, the dark 12” floor tile was replaced by new, light, wood-plank porcelain tile.
